EYESCITECH, a day-long annual conference organized by Chittagong Lions Eye Institute and Hospital to bring together scientific minds and skills, will be held on Friday (November 03) from 09:00 am at Chittagong Lions Foundation Complex “Lion Engineer M.I. Khan Bhawan” was held in the conference hall.
Chairman of Chittagong Lions Foundation Lion Nasir Uddin Chowdhury presided over the opening ceremony of the annual conference, the president of Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology, famous Bangladeshi ophthalmologist Prof. Ava Hossain was the chief guest, the special guest was former chairman of the foundation, Ekushey Padak editor of Dainik Azadi, former district governor. Lion MA Malek, District Governor of Lions Clubs International District 315-B4 Md. Lion. Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Founder Chairman of Bangladesh Eye Hospital and Institute Ophthalmologist Dr. Mahabubur Rahman Chowdhury and National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital Vitreo-Retina Department Head Professor (Dr.) Deepak Kumar Nag. In the meeting, Lion Dr. Debashish Dutta, Secretary of the Foundation gave a welcome speech and Professor Dr. Prakash Kumar Chowdhury, Academic Director of Chittagong Lions Eye Institute and Hospital, Ophthalmologist, expressed thanks.
National and foreign renowned ophthalmologist Dr. M.A. aimed to bring scientific mind and skills together in three sessions of this day-long annual conference. Rakib, Prof. Dr. Nazmul Haque Ravi, Prof. (Dr.) Deepak Kumar Nag, Prof. (Dr.) Zafar Khaled, Prof. Dr. Prakash Kumar Chowdhury, Dr. Mahabubur Rahman Chowdhury and Dr. Vaishali Vasavada from India shared their experience online and live surgery was demonstrated in the conference by Prof. Dr. Md. Shaukat Kabir, Prof. Dr. Prakash Kumar Chowdhury and Dr. Anurag Mishra from India.
Also, a gala dinner and cultural program was organized last Thursday evening on the occasion of the annual conference.
